Though L’Oca d’Oro is an unwavering supporter of local food, it is a rare pleasure for us to have the opportunity to highlight local drink. So, for our first winemaker dinner, we will be celebrating the innovative, long-time Texas winemaker and Bending Branch vineyard founder, John Rivenburgh.
We love John’s wines because his experimentation with Hill Country-loving varietals, like Picpoul and Mourvedre, have introduced local consumers to names and flavor profiles outside those generally considered market friendly. This boldness, and the quality born of it, has earned him a well deserved reputation as a pioneer of “Texas style” wine.
For this evening, Fiore’s dishes are inspired by the origins of the grapes featured—Southwest France, Provence, Rioja and Bordeaux will be our touchstones.
Come enjoy something a little different from L’Oca d’Oro and help us welcome the inaugural vintage of Rivenburgh Wines.
